Can you feel a warm summer breeze and are you thinking – ‘this feels like sun hats and shorts weather to me’? Body oils come into their own when it’s time to flash a bit of flesh. Seems the humble olive has been hard at it in Mediterranean beauty circles for thousands of years, dubbed ‘liquid gold’ no less. We have great respect for this noble fruit. Our Olive Dry Oil is enriched with Community Fair Trade cold-pressed olive oil from Italy. We source high quality organic olives from groves high up in the rolling hills of Cilento National Park in Italy, once tended to by Benedictine monks in the Middle Ages. This rich oil smooths over your skin with a loving touch, helping to soften skin and protect it from moisture loss as it glides on. We source our argan oil from the Little Atlas Mountains. Our 4 top tips for using body oils
Step 1: Prepare your skin
Oil just loves fresh new skin cells to look after and lavish with love. So it’s always a good idea to use them on freshly exfoliated skin, where you’ve said ta-ra to dull dead skin cells. Use our Body Scrubs to give your whole body an invigorating rub down. Oh la la, you’ll enjoy this surface-smoothing procedure prepping for a dreamy light covering of body oil. It’s gonna get steamy in here.
Step 2: Use a shower oil for cleanse and hydration
Shower on, yep, the steam is rising! Now hop in the shower and have a darn good wash you mucky pup. Let’s start silky – get it on with our Hemp Shower Oil, a natural source of gamma-linolenic acid – great for helping hydrate skin. A splash of water transforms this oil into a soft lathery foam, which gently cleanses while going for it on the hydration front. It’s great for dry skin, helping to reinforce its natural moisture barrier.
Step 3: Apply oil to your body
Glide out of the shower and pat dry any excess water and with a nice fluffy towel, then call on your favourite The Body Shop body oil for the main event.
